In addition to the Empathy Map, the Persona Profile Map is an ideal method to gain a more detailed understanding of the users of our products and services. The Persona Profile, also called the Buyer Persona, is a user centered method, and therefore an essential part of the Design Thinking Methodology.
With the Persona Profile Map we create a fictitious profile of a person that represents our target public. In order to give this public an identity, we map out all the information we can imagine about this person, ranging from his/her demographic data to interests, worries, challenges and products and brands he/she consumes. With Manual Thinking you can create the Persona Profile together with your team in a hands-on manner. For optimal results, you can illustrate the information with photos, image clippings and drawings, creating a collage type map.
With the mapped out information, we can evaluate whether our products and/or services fit well with the proposed target, and discover improved solutions that address their needs.
